Hi, my name is Dr. K. A. Galil, DDS., D.Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Ph.D., FAGD., FADI., Cert. Periodontist. Welcome to my website!
I am a Periodontist who also happens to have a Ph.D. and a degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I am a member of the Department Of Orthodontics, Periodontic and Clinical Anatomy Department at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.
I have have received the UWO-DSS award for Excellence in teaching 1985. In June of 1998, I received the W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Teaching and Leadership in Dentistry which is a National Award awarded by the Association of the Canadian Faculties of Dentistry. I have been nominated twice for the Ontario council of university Faculty Association (OCUFA). I am the recipient of the University Student Council Teaching Award for excellence years in the years 1997, 1998,1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
My research interests are in TMJ, Cyanoacrylates & Periodontal wound healing, (Periodontal Plastic Surgery), acid etching/bonding techniques and X-raying Egyptian Pharaohs.
